Growing Pains...

Maybe it's time for a new table? Aidan keeps climbing under the table like it's a jungle gym! He discovered his swing... He hated this when he was a few months old. Now he loves it! He rocks back and forth as it's already swinging.

Mom do I have to wear this! It reminds me of the movie "A Christmas Story" when the mom dresses the boy in this snow suit and he can't move : )

Aidan's new friend... Eric

He had so much fun on Thanksgiving - hanging out, and sitting on Eric. Aidan followed him everywhere, trying to get him to play... Until finally, he climbed on top!

Future NBA All Star!

One of Aidan's favorite birthday presents! He loves playing basketball... He's even starting to pull down the rim - uh oh, future NBA show off!

Yum...Frosting...Cake...and Milk!

It started out cute and sweet... His birthday cupcake.

Then he went for a second cupcake... This red one got messy! All over mom, the sweater, then he didn't want to hold it after the red frosting got everywhere... It ended up on the carpet!

Yum...time to wash it all down with a cold glass of milk. Dad tried to capture the milk mustache.

Of course, he just wanted to stick his hand in the cup. More birthday pictures to come... They got bumped to the older posts already, even though I posted them all today.

New pony

One of Aidan's favorite new toys he got for his birthday... Thanks Yaya!He loves balloons! Mom searched hard for these ones!Opening his presents... Okay, he needed a little help. Wow!!! Check out the monster cake!

Baby Giraffe

Happy Halloween! Still playing with that pumpkin!

Grumpy giraffe : (
Not really happy in this costume.

Mom played dress up too... And got to go to work with rollers in her hair!

Pumpkins!

Aidan's 1st trip to the pumpkin patch. Check out all those pumpkins! For some reason, he just didn't want to look at the camera... Maybe he was just distracted by all the pumpkins and people! This little pumpkin... He just wanted to lick it and try to eat it!Three pumpkins sitting on the door step. Oh no... the dinosaur is gonna eat the pumpkins!

Say Cheese!

What a smiley little boy! These pictures are a few weeks old. One night, Aidan was so fussy, we finally got him to settle down by letting him sit in his duckie tub - clothes still on! He loves it! Aidan discovered a new *old* toy. He used to sit in this, now he stands up and pulls it! The playmate is still on the floor here. It's finally put away. He's finally moving on to toys he can push and ride... like the ones he got for his birthday...
Had to put this one on here. I love these PJs- they have the cute feet! Anything monster, I buy it! You'll see it became his birthday theme.

Keep on moving!

Moving right along!

Aidan has been playing with this for a long time now. He usually just sits on the floor. He just found out he can push it! He's going room to room with it now. Now that he's crawling in fast motion, and so close to walking...time for the baby gates.

He just doesn't want to keep those socks on his feet! He'll crawl, take them off, and would rather crawl with the socks in his hands!

See my tongue, mom? Let's hope he's not a futre Steven Tyler... Well, Rock star wannabe is okay.

Rubber Duckie You're the One!

Aidan loves taking baths now... especially when his big duckie tub quacks at him! He loves standing up in it- not so good.

You make bath time lots of fun!

Aidan goes to Washington

Future senator... On our first day in D.C., we visited the Capitol building. Aidan learned about our founding fathers, E. Pluribus Unum, "Out of many one," and the fact that there's a crypt in the basement of the Capitol.

The top court in the land... The U.S. Supreme Court.

Sitting in front of the houses of Congress... waiting for the Kennedy procession... Well, we didn't wait too long, it was running about two hours behind schedule.

This is where they make the laws...

This is what happens when we let a stranger take our picture! Boys, look at the camera! It's the only close picture we have, showing the White House in the background. This is across the street from the South lawn.
Here's the front lawn, North side of the White House.
Aidan discovered flags this weekend! He loves them! Every chance he had, he made us stop so he can stare up at them. Here, he's enjoying the flags at the Washington Monument.
World War II Memorial... Stay out of the water! It's sacred grounds... We weren't in it, just standing near the edge of the walk-up.

Vietnam Vets Memorial... More flags. Aidan also noticed his reflection in the wall.

Oskee Wow Wow! Future Illini...

Aidan enjoyed his first trip to the Quad. He crawled around in the grass... There just weren't enough people for him to look at. This was about a week before classes resumed.
So... he's scoping out the place. Surely, there must be someone to look at, he's thinking...
Hmm... maybe if I take off, they won't notice...

Dad! I was gonna crawl to the closest sorority, there must be some girls there. I think there's one just across 6th street!

Standing tall by the Alma Mater.

Precious, pure, unconditional love

Aidan's Baptism: August 15, 2009
He was restless during the ceremony... and cried when the holy water touched him! Father Malenowski tried to soothe him.
Finally, calm, holding his first rosary.

Pretty cake...almost too pretty to eat. Almost...

That is, until Aidan got his hands into it! Yum, cake!
